London Broil's Top 10 Metal Albums of 2009
Here ya go Bitches!

Here ya go Bitches!

OK. There is a clear association between heavy music and satan/satanism/black magic etc... However, aside from a very select few (of whom are seriously out of their minds and are for the most part institutionalized) satanism in metal is merely a rebellion against organized religion. Again, except for a select few psychopaths, there is not supposed to be acts of violence against others because of their religion, nor should there be. These stupid shits aobviously listened to a wee bit too much Mayhem.
To see pure ignorance and stupidity, read the rest of the post.

After seeing what feels like hundreds of awesome shows, I decided to discuss my top 10 all time. Here's the first half:
Loncto's top 10 concert experiences, part 1
1. Metallica at Lollapalooza, Randall's Island, NY 7/11/1996 - What can I say. My first time seeing Metallica. I was a fan of them before this show, but after seeing them live, I went on a rampage of about 18 months where the ONLY band I listened to was Metallica, and I spent all of my free time learning Metallica songs on guitar and trading Metallica bootlegs over the Internet. If it wasn't for this show, I probably would have quit playing guitar years ago, ended all of my musical ambitions, and been some happy guy working in some corporate office on the 27th floor of some building in Manhattan. Those bastards.
2. Red Hot Chili Peppers at Madison Square Garden, 2/9/1996 - This was right after One Hot Minute came out, and Dave Navarro was playing guitar. The Chili Peppers just had a ton of energy that night, and they played an awesome set list that mixed up a bunch of stuff from One Hot Minute and Blood Sugar Sex Magik with some of their best older tunes. Not much else to say other than it was just an awesome show.
3. Ozzfest 1998 in Holmdel, NJ 7/3/1998 - My first time seeing Ozzy, Megadeth, Soulfly, Limp Bizkit (in their prime), Sevendust, and Tool. Plus we had 6th row tickets! I was elated for 4 or 5 days after the show because it was such an amazing experience. This was one of the best lineups for a show ever - Incubus, Snot, and System of a Down all played on the second stage before I knew who they were.
4. The Offspring, Roseland NYC 2/27/1999 - Man did they kick ass that night. Really good vibe, really awesome set list ranging from a couple songs before Smash through a bunch of songs off Americana right when it came out. They even threw in "Genocide" and the title track from Smash, two of my all-time favorites that I never expected they'd play. Great vibe in the pit that night too - people were jumping around like crazy, having fun, but it wasn't too violent - perfect for a little guy like me.
5. Incubus at Lollapalooza, Holmdel NJ 7/23/2003 - Many of you are going to want to kick my ass for putting a post-Morning View Incubus show in my top 5 of all time, but I did it. Make Yourself and SCIENCE changed my life, but I didn't like their newer stuff until I saw this show. Maybe it was the joint I smoked right when they went on, maybe it was hearing 20 thousand people sing along with "Nice to Know You" and "Warning," maybe it was that they played several deeper cuts off of Make Yourself and ignored "Pardon Me" and "Drive," their two biggest singles, or maybe it was that their performance made headliners Jane's Addiction (who I love) and Audioslave look like a bunch of old guys trying to rock out.
6 through 10 coming soon. - Loncto

ALL HAIL CROTCHDUSTER

I do know that the title of this article is the title of the French death noise makers Glorior Belli's 2005 release.

Anaal Nathrakh is a little gem that I was introduced to probably about a year or two ago with the album Total Fucking Necro. And the reason why I am writing about it is because I've come to find that this album, since the time I first listened to it, seriously gets better and better and I don't think that this type of thing comes along too often, and for this reason I wanted to share it with you. Hail Fun.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years it is much appreciated

As I walk into Popeye's pub, knowing damn well what a shit hole it is and that Goatwhore has probably played worse, I couldn't help but feel bad. What the fuck is a band like Goatwhore doing playing this hole in the wall dive bar? As I make my way over to Ben Falgoust, I notice that Falgoust is staring through this hole in the wall watching one of the local bands that was opening the show... and he was enjoying it.
